During my recent travels throughout
China, Hong Kong, the United States, and Brazil, I have had the chance to
find a few out of the ordinary things.
In a small Chinese cafe in Los Angeles, I first tasted a cold drink that is foreign to most Americans, in fact a mystery to anyone not familiar with Chinese tastes. The drink was a kind of tea, mixed with cold milk...and in the bottom of the cup, like a pile of black pearls, sat a bunch of tapioca balls, called boba. What is boba, and why is it in a drink? What does it taste like? The discoveries on this web site, like boba and the watch pictured to the left are small delights that I have encountered in my travels. If you would like to purchase any of these items for yourself, you may do so directly through this web site, or by calling the phone number listed below. |
