The perfect coffee cup?
There are those things worth talking about,
And then there are those things we don't have time for.
Like talking about a cup.
Then again, it's a pretty important vessel. It holds that one drink that
many people the world over use to hold their morning brew, the key that
starts the day.
This cup fits well in the hands, and as you look down at your coffee,
you realize that the cup matters. It has substance, it has heft, there
is weight to it.
You want something of substance to hold the black sunshine that launches
you into the world with extra pep.
I bought this cup at the Starbucks in my neighborhood. It is just the
right size for my hands, and written on the side is everything you need
to know --- the Starbucks name, and the year they began, 1971. That also
happens to be the year that my sister was born, but that's an entirely
different beginning, a different story.
I took the photo above on February 1, 2002, at about 9 in the morning.
Things worth talking about? Yes, it is one. Its tactile qualities will
nicely complement your morning, whatever you put in it.
